New starter this week, same standard today
Training with a test they have to pass, shift handovers that carry the work with them, and proof the close was done — built for stores where the crew changes constantly.
What owners tell us
The question you answer forty times a shift
"What's on today?" "When am I in next?" "How many hours have I done?" Every one of them is a message to a manager who is doing something else.
What Oversee does: Every employee has an assistant in the app, in their own language, that answers from their own tasks, rota and hours — and opens a leave request for them when they ask. The manager hears about it once, when there is something to decide.
Somebody new every week
Turnover is brutal. A sixteen-year-old on the fryer does not know the procedure, and asking a manager mid-rush backs up the drive-thru.
What Oversee does: Put the procedure in Training — document, photo or video — and end it with a short test. Nobody counts as trained until they pass, and when you update the procedure everyone retakes it. You can see who passed and who is overdue, by site.
Nobody knows who is on the clock
The rota says one thing, the floor says another, and hours get argued about a fortnight later on payday.
What Oversee does: One button clocks in and out. Forgotten clock-outs close automatically at the shift's end — not when the system noticed — and every correction a manager makes is recorded with a reason.
Overnight work nobody sees
The 11pm–7am shift ticks off the coffee station, the grill and the bathrooms. At 7:30 the morning rush walks into a mess.
What Oversee does: Require a photograph on the lines that matter. Each one carries its own date, time and place, so a 3am tick has a 3am picture behind it.
Head office finds out last
A store misses its opening checks and you hear about it from a customer, not from the store.
What Oversee does: A task past its planned time reaches the manager at that store, and if it is still not done it goes above them and rings through quiet hours. The live board shows every site as the day happens.
An opening list for a store that just changed crew
Short lines, clear proof, no room for interpretation — the way a list has to be when the person reading it started on Monday.
- Fry vats at temperature — reading logged
- Holding cabinets on and timed
- Drive-thru headsets charged and tested
- Front counter and lobby wiped — photo required
- Bathrooms checked and stocked — photo required
- Waste from overnight logged
- Till float counted and signed
Common questions
How long does it take to set up a store?
An afternoon. Build the lists once, copy them to the next store, and adjust what differs. New staff need an invitation and nothing else.
Can crew see other people's hours or pay?
No. Staff see their own shifts, their own hours and their own tasks. What each role can see is set by you, and enforced on the server rather than by hiding buttons.
Does it work on old, cheap phones?
Yes — that was a design requirement, not an afterthought. Photographs are compressed on the phone before they are sent, and the app works on small screens and slow connections.
Start with your own checklist — Fourteen days, no card. Build the real list for your site and watch it come back with the proof attached.
