Open at six, right every time
Opening and closing checks with proof, stock counts that survive the back room with no signal, and waste priced to the cent.
What owners tell us
The question you answer forty times a shift
"What's on today?" "When am I in next?" "How many hours have I done?" Every one of them is a message to a manager who is doing something else.
What Oversee does: Every employee has an assistant in the app, in their own language, that answers from their own tasks, rota and hours — and opens a leave request for them when they ask. The manager hears about it once, when there is something to decide.
The counter that was not reset
Pastry case half-full, grinder not purged, milk fridge not rotated. The first twenty customers see all of it.
What Oversee does: An opening list with photographs where it matters. You check it from bed at 6:15 and know before the door opens, not after.
Ordering by guesswork
Somebody eyeballs the back room and orders too much oat milk and not enough cups. One goes out of date, the other runs out on a Saturday.
What Oversee does: Set a par level per item. Staff count what is there, Oversee works out the shortfall, and the order exports to a spreadsheet — with a lead time on the items that take days to arrive.
Waste that never reaches the books
Yesterday's pastries go in the bin. At the end of the month, nobody can say what that cost.
What Oversee does: Log the waste, pick a reason, and Oversee prices it from that item's cost. The monthly figure is a real number you can hand to an accountant, with who logged what.
Counting in the back room with no signal
The stock is in a basement or a walk-in where the phone has no bars. Half the count is lost and the staff stop bothering.
What Oversee does: Counts are held on the phone and sent when the signal returns. A skipped item stays marked as skipped rather than counting as zero and triggering a full order.

Common questions
We are one shop with four people. Is this too much?
One site, one list, one person checking it from home is a perfectly ordinary way to use it. There is nothing to configure that you do not want.
Do I have to put prices on everything?
No. Cost and lead time are optional per item. Skip the price and waste shows a quantity instead of a figure, and the monthly total says how many items had no price so the number stays honest.
Can I try it before paying?
Fourteen days, no card. Set up your real lists — if you carry on, they are already there.
Start with your own checklist — Fourteen days, no card. Build the real list for your site and watch it come back with the proof attached.
